Editorial and corrections policy

UpcomingDays is an independent website that answers date questions: countdowns, date calculations, calendars, holidays, week numbers, time zones and age tools. This page explains how our content is made, checked and corrected.

How the answers are made

Every number on a tool page is calculated, not typed by hand. The same engine powers every page, and it follows the official rules listed on our sources page. Pages are recalculated for each new day, and they switch to your own date when your time zone is ahead of or behind US Eastern Time. The method is explained in how we count.

Guides

Our guides explain the rules behind the tools. Each guide is checked against the official source for its topic and against the date engine, shows the date it was last updated, and links to the tools that do the counting.

Accuracy checks

• Holiday rules, week numbers, month arithmetic, daylight saving changes and moon phases are tested against hand-checked reference dates.
• Dates that depend on authorities or observations, such as Islamic holidays, school dates or government announcements, are labelled on the page with what may change.
• Holiday tables are reviewed at the start of each year, and whenever a rule changes.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, please use the contact form and include the page address and what you expected. We check every report, fix confirmed errors as quickly as we can, and note significant corrections on the affected guide.

Independence and advertising

UpcomingDays may show advertising to keep the tools free. Advertisers have no influence over our content or results, ads are always labelled, and they never appear inside a tool or in place of an answer. Read how we handle data in our privacy policy.

The life expectancy and longevity tools show statistical averages from published sources for general interest. They are not medical advice and not a prediction for any individual.
